Assessment of in-situ concrete compressive strength in RC structures by destructive and non-destructive methods
In this article are presented the author’s experimental research to determine the in-situ compressive strength of concrete. The probabilistic concrete compressive strength was determined by method of elastic rebound (Schmidt hammer) and ultrasonic pulse velocity method. In-situ concrete compressive strength was determined by destructive testing of cores, taken from reinforced concrete elements. Characteristic in-situ compressive strength was assessed by indirect methods with a relationship determined from a limited number of cores and a basic curve, given in BDS EN 13791:2007/NA:2011.
