Soil Remediation Techniques for Reduction of Earthquake-Induced Liquefaction
This paper provides an overview of remediation techniques currently in use to improve liquefiable soils. An overview of liquefaction and hazard reduction methods is presented including methods of implementation, suitability, and practical considerations. Techniques include soil replacement, vibro-compaction, vibro-replacement, dynamic compaction, explosive compaction, and site drainage enhancement.
