Application of CAE in Engineering of HuMen Suspension Bridge
In the HuMen Suspension Bridge project, combined computer technique and nonlinear finite element method were used to aid in the engineering of the large span suspension bridge. In addition, computer software modeling the structural behavior of the bridge during construction was developed using Windows Environment. This paper describes the application of CAE (computer aided engineering) during both engineering and construction of the HuMen Suspension Bridge. A close comparison of the theoretically predicted and actually measured displacements of the bridge is presented herewith.
