FRP Tubes Filled with Concrete and Subjected to Combined Axial and Flexural Loads
Concrete-filled fiber reinforced polymer FRP circular tubes provide a suitable structural member for a variety of applications including piles, columns, overhead sign structures and hydro poles. This paper discusses the behavior of concrete-filled Glass-FRP tubes under pure bending, and combined bending and axial compression. Test results of eleven specimens are reported. Axial load was applied at different eccentricities to establish the axial load and bending moment interaction curves.
