Improvment of Micropile Capacities Casting with Pressure and Considering a Big Interval of Time
This paper aims to compare and discuss the capacity of micropiles casting with pressure in stages separated by different intervals of time. The comparison is based on casting concrete successively with pressure and waiting one hour interval. Preliminary geotechnical studies have been made in Sudan in specific area, and then an experimental works were carried for a number of micropiles with different diameters and different techniques of placing concrete using various amount of pressure. Capacities of micropiles were compared in cases of pressure casting with and without time interval more than one hour. It was proved that casting with pressure on stages spaced at interval more than one hour produces more capacity of micropile.
