Education of Civil Engineers: A Symposium: Foreword
Following a recommendation in 1951 of the Committee of Engineers Council for Professional Development (ECPD) on Adequacy and Standards of Engineering Education, the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) appointed in May, 1952, a Committee on Evaluation of Engineering Education of which L. E. Grinter was chairman. The investigation was sponsored financially by the ASEE, the Engineering Foundation, the constituent so~ieties of the ECPD, the General Electric Company, and the National Science Foundation.
