Study on Three-Dimensional Radial Point Interpolation Meshfree Method of Simulation of Crack Propagation for Concrete
To build a numerical model for simulation of crack propagation in concrete structure is of theoretical and practical significance. In this paper, theories of three dimensional (3D) Radial Point Interpolation Meshfree method (RPIM) are introduced. The method of coupling linear elastic fracture and discrete crack model with RPIM is studied in details. Then crack propagation in concrete is analyzed by this coupling method. Some typical problems in programming are studied. The result is testified by a three-point bending beam example.
