The subject of this address is “Science and Engineering,” showing the necessary relations between them, which are becoming closer and closer every clay, as engineering extends over wider and wider fields of action. Science is the discovery and classification of the laws of Nature. Engineering, in its broadest sense, is the practical application of such discovered laws.
