Dispersion from Pit in Uniform Seepage
A solution is obtained for the steady-state dispersion of a pollutant from a pit placed in uniform ground-water seepage. Lateral dispersion, longitudinal dispersion and radioactive decay are all considered in the solution. The final results indicate that longitudinal dispersion often may be negligible compared to the changes in concentration brought about by radioactive decay.
