Vegas High Roller 3D Modeling and Integration
The Vegas High Roller will set the new standard for large observation wheel design. At 550' in height the Vegas High Roller will become the largest of these impressive structures, surpassing the likes of the London Eye and the Singapore Flyer (443' and 541', respectively). This project falls within the niche market of atypical moving structures, resulting in challenges not seen in everyday construction. One such challenge is modeling and coordinating a complex structure that falls outside the norms of modern day building information modeling (BIM). 3D modeling is the new standard in the building industry. The complexities and precision required to build the Las Vegas Wheel were developed, designed, and portrayed using the most advanced BIM practices available. On a project where everything is custom made, the need to successfully model and coordinate in 3D is vital.
