Research on Evaluation Index of Pipeline Structure Damage Based on Piezoelectric Impedance Method
The characteristics of a piezoelectric ceramic chip (PZT) are sensitivity on the structural initial damage, strong immunity to the outside environment, and the double effect (sensing and drive). It is significant to identify structural material damage by the piezoelectric impedance method. This paper summarizes and analyses the existing application scope and evaluating precision of the evaluation index of structural damage based on the piezoelectric impedance method and presents and verifies a pipeline structure health assessment evaluation index. The result shows that the evaluation index based on the piezoelectric impedance method is feasible for timely and accurate identification of pipeline structure material damage, but remains with many difficulties and problems to be solved.
