LNG Tanks at Damietta on Drilled Shafts Designed and Tested Using Mnard PMT
The Damietta Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) tank farm is situated in the lower Nile Valley, in an area prone to earthquakes. The design of the piles was based on a combination of various in situ surveys, using mainly Ménard PMT. The results of vertical and horizontal load tests showed good agreement with predictions based on Ménard PMT direct design methods.
