Research on Energy Efficiency of Chinese Provincial Construction Industry from 2006 to 2015 Based on Super-SBM Model
The improvement of construction energy efficiency has an important significance for the sustainable development of construction industry. According to the framework of energy efficiency, a Super-SBM model is built to study the energy efficiency of China's interprovincial construction industry from 2006 to 2015. The results have shown that, (1) during this period, the impact of technological innovation on the energy efficiency of construction industry has generally improved, but its role has limitations; (2) there is a significant difference in energy efficiency in various regions, which is higher in the eastern coastal areas than in the central and western regions; (3) despite the improvement in the labor and capital redundancy of construction industry, the energy supply, and carbon emissions redundancy are still not positive, which has great potential for energy conservation and emissions reduction. Finally, this paper proposes relevant policy recommendations to further promote the energy conservation and emissions reduction process for construction industry.
