Novel Rehabilitation Technology of Oil Pipelines
The typical methods and new techniques of rehabilitating oil pipelines are introduced in the paper. Both the types and limitations of exterior rehabilitation of oil pipeline are described; and the exterior rehabilitation of oil pipelines includes defect reinforcement of the pipe wall and repair of corrosion protective covering. The defect reinforcement of the pipe wall involves patching, metal clamping, replacing pipe, the epoxy resin filler liner repairing and compound material repairing. Both the technical processes and applicability of the novel interior rehabilitation technology, such as cured-in-place-lining, spray lining, close-fit lining, are commented in detail. The comprehensive applications of these rehabilitation techniques used in oil pipeline are concluded in China, and the new rehabilitation techniques are presented.
