Parking Choice Model in Resettlement Housing Area Considering Parking Sharing Policy
The causal chain method was used to systematically analyze the cause of parking problems in resettlement housing areas, and some solutions such as shared parking were put forward. A questionnaire about parking behavior in resettlement housing areas was designed and carried out with parking sharing policy. The results showed that 50% of the private car owners were willing to park their cars in a shared parking lot if the distance between the shared parking lot and the residential area is within 200 meters and if the parking fee was reasonable. A parking choice model for resettlement housing areas was established based on the maximum random utility theory. The results suggested that residents’ parking location choices were influenced by the parking fee, opening time, and walking distance. The safeguard measures of shared parking were given, which could provide data support for parking behavior research and improve the utilization efficiency of parking lots in residential areas.
