Experimental Study on Flexural Behavior of Pre-Stressed Ultra-High Performance Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete Slab for Bridge Deck
Two ribbed slabs with pre-stressed steel strands and a ribbed slab with HRB300 steel bars were compared to study the flexural behavior of pre-stressed Ultra-high Performance Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete slabs in bridge decks. During testing, the displacement of the slabs, the crack loads, the ultimate loads, and the strains on the concrete were recorded. Test results show that the stiffness, cracking loads, and ultimate loads of the trough slabs with pre-stressed steel strands were much higher than those of the trough slab with HRB300 steel bars. The calculated results of the crack moment show high correspondence with the experimental data.
