Solidification/Stabilization of Sulphide Bearing Soils Using Alfa Process
In this study, mineral transformation, due to application of the newly developed ALFA solidification/stabilization process to sulphide bearing soils, and changes in the hydro-mechanical properties of the stabilized/solidified matrix were discussed. Samples were treated with lime, fly ash, lime and fly ash, and Aluminium, Lime, and Fly Ash (ALFA). The success of the treatment techniques was evaluated from the viewpoint of their interaction, chemical stability, and hydro-mechanical properties such as shear strength and hydraulic conductivity.
