Eine Plattform für die Wissenschaft: Bauingenieurwesen, Architektur und Urbanistik
Residence of Western Hunan Province traditional dwellings with its unique and logical construction techniques is now facing the dilemma of gradual disappearance. In this paper, the weaving construction as a starting point, analysis of its application in Eastern and Western context architecture. Taking Western Hunan Province dwelling as the research object, this paper explores its plane form and construction skills under the unique regional culture background, make it out of the gap between the past and the future. Weaving is the original behavior of tectonics. The combination of the two includes humanities and science, which can make a more comprehensive analysis of the connotation and logic of Western Hunan Province traditional dwellings, and provide a useful supplement for the study of its modern adaptability.
