Fiber Reinforced Polymers in Bridge Design and Construction
The success of Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRPs) in structural rehabilitation has also led to the development of new structural concepts utilizing all FRP systems or FRP/Concrete composite systems. An overview of the research and development on applications for advanced composites to bridge engineering structures in general support of civil infrastructure renewal is presented.
