The efficiency of construction industry is quite low due to the incomprehensive building information management. Therefore, it is urged to build a model to manage the building information in the whole process of construction projects. This paper discussed all the information involved in the process of construction from four dimensions (time, participant, knowledge, and technology) on the basis of system engineering methodology, and built a model of comprehensive building information management inspired by hard system methodology (HSM). The model has important theoretical and practical significance to improve the quality and level of building information management, and also would promote the rational application of BIM.
