Influence of Ground Loss on Settlement of Ground and Maglev Pile Foundation in Shield Tunneling
Shield construction causes ground disturbance, which brings huge challenges to the safety of surrounding buildings. The maximum ground settlement is related to the ground loss rate, which can be controlled by managing the ground loss rate. However, in the shield construction, one should not only pay attention to the ground settlement, but also the deformation of surrounding buildings. Based on the engineering background of Shanghai Metro Line 13 crossing the maglev, the PLAXIS 2D model is established to calculate the ground and the maglev pile foundation settlements under different ground loss rates. Combined with the Peck formula, the modeling calculation results and the calculation results of the four formulas are compared, and the relationship between the ground loss rate and the settlement of ground and maglev pile foundation is statistically analyzed. The research presented in this article is intended to be used as a reference for subsequent research and engineering.
