Exergy Analysis of Energy Use during Building Life Cycle
Building energy conservation has attracted much attention in recent years. It is also known that operating and embodied energy for buildings accounts for a great part of life cycle energy use. To achieve sustainable development, the building life cycle energy use is evaluated based on the exergy method. The relationship among exergy, energy and sustainable development is presented. In this paper, a method, which balances the building materials embodied energy and operating energy based on the exergy analysis method, is introduced. Finally, the problems are also discussed.
