Study on Hydraulic Simulation Model of Pipe Break
Pipe break is a damaging physical phenomenon in long-distance water supply project, which endangers normal operation of conveyance system seriously. Water movement is a complex transient flow process after pipe break, but study of its principle is absent by far. This result that plan of accident treatment is provided difficultly. In this paper, movement characteristics of water flow after pipe break is studied in detail. Aiming at two different pipe laying types, two hydraulic numerical simulation models are raised based on principle of relief valve and overflow tower. Numerical calculation results indicate that models can simulate this complex transient flow process for different pipe layout appropriately, and provide conference for scientific accident treatment.
