Contribution of Poromechanics to the Development of Cementitious Materials in an Industrial Context
Whether it concerns the understanding of cementitious materials, the derivation of new test methods or the development of new products and systems, poromecahnics always come into play. Some recent examples of activities at the LafargeHolcim R&D Center are presented, covering topics as curing and drying of concrete with highly substituted cement, cementitious foam hardening, admixtures to control shrinkage, external sulfate attack, or thermal behavior of massive structure.
