Optimum Lateral Pressure of Concrete on Formwork
Formwork is an essential part of construction engineering, whether for floors or for walls. This research focused on wall formwork, which is used in residential buildings. This study primarily was concerned with reducing the cost of the formwork using optimal sections and optimum casting rates. The methodology of this research consisted of using equations to determine the lateral pressure of concrete on the formwork, to calculate the minimum spacing between the formwork components to obtain an economical and safe design, to calculate the optimum casting rate, which is 1.5 m/h, and to find the optimum lateral pressure.
