Development of ASCE Manual of Practice for Auger Boring Projects
This paper presents an overview of the development of the manual of practice for auger boring projects by the Trenchless Installation of Pipelines (TIPS) committee of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). The manual will present guidelines representing standards of practice at various phases of auger boring projects. After reviewing information from various manuals and specifications, a table of contents has been agreed by the task committee established by the TIPS committee. The final draft of the manual will be ready for committee review at the International No-Dig Show, March 29, 2003, in Las Vegas and will be close to publication by ASCE before the ASCE Pipelines 2003 International Conference, July 2003, in Baltimore.
