The current codes provide information for general approach but limited information's related to requirement for performance based seismic analysis and design for movable bridges and hence requires experience and engineering judgment in developing project specific performance criteria's. Still, further work is needed to define explicitly the requirements for performance based seismic analysis and design for movable bridges. 3-D numerical model and site-specific time history method is recommended for seismic analysis of movable bridges. It can provide engineers better understanding the performance of the structure.
