New Haven Harbor's Twin 48-Inch Force Main Crossing
This paper chronicles the relocation of a twin existing 48-inch force main across New Haven Harbor in advance of construction of the new signature I-95 Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge in New Haven, CT. The pipeline relocation alignment was severely congested with the I-95 bridge foundations, the adjacent historic Yale Boathouse, fuel pipelines, tank farms, an active concrete plant, pile supported electrical transmission towers and the existing active twin force mains.
