Simplified Testing of Hydrologic Regression Regions
The Wilsoxon Signed Ranks Test is suggested to test the statistical significance of homogenous hydrologic regions defined by subjectively drawing regional boundaries around regression residuals plotted on a map. Such a test provides the regression analyst and user with helpful insight into what extent the definition of hydrologic region boundaries are supported by the regression data, and to what extent the boundaries are the subjective judgment of the data analyst.
