PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE MAKE A MATCH TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA
Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok alat-alat optik di kelas VIII semester II SMP Swasta Budi Agung Medan T.P. 2012/2013. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta Budi Agung Medan yang berjumlah 5 kelas dan sampelnya terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen yang diambil secara cluster random sampling. Penulis menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match di kelas eksperimen dan model pembelajaran langsung di kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes (pilihan ganda) dan non-tes (observasi). Hasil postes kelas eksperimen 70,17 dan kelas kontrol adalah 62. Aktivitas siswa pada saat pelaksanaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match mengalami peningkatan mulai dari 72,84% (cukup baik) menjadi 82,98% (baik). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Kata kunci : Kooperatif, make a match, aktivitas, hasil belajar. Abstract This study aimed to know the effect of cooperative learning model make a match type for the learning outcomes of students in the subject matter optical devices in the eighth class 2nd semester of SMP Swasta Budi Agung Medan T.P. 2012/2013. The study population was all student of class VIII SMP Swasta Budi Agung Medan, amount to 5 classes and the sample consists of two classes of control class and experimental class taken by cluster random sampling. The author applies cooperative learning model make a match in the experimental class and direct instruction model in the control class. The study instrument used was a test (multiple choice) and non-test (observation). Posttest results of experimental class is 70.17 and the control class is 62. Students activity at the time of implementation of cooperative learning model make a match has increased from 72.84% (enough good) to 82.98% (excellent). The result indicates the learning outcomes of students using cooperative learning model make a match is higher than using direct instruction model.
