Analytical framework and management strategy for large-scale sustainable sanitation
Nachhaltige Sanitärversorgung ist eine der größten Herausforderungen weltweit. Technik ist verfügbar, aber in vielen Ländern fehlt es an Managementkapazität und institutionellen Rahmenbedingungen. Diese Forschung liefert eine Strategie mit zehn Schlüsselmaßnahmen bezogen auf Institutionen, Organisation, Technik und Nutzer. Entwickelte Indikatoren und Bewertungskriterien sind die Basis einer Scorecard, umgesetzt als Softwaretool. Eine Fallstudie zeigt die Anwendung von Strategie und Tool. Diese Arbeit ermöglicht es informierten Experten, Managementbedarfe schnell zu erfassen und Umsetzungsmaßnahmen zu planen und zu überwachen. ; Sustainable sanitation is one of the biggest challenges in the world today. Technologies are available but many countries lack the necessary management capacity and institutional framework. This research provides a strategy with ten key actions related to the institutional framework, organisation, technology and users. Developed indicators and rating criteria are the basis of a scorecard that is implemented as a software tool. A case study illustrates the application of the strategy and tool. This work enables informed experts to quickly assess, implement, and monitor management needs and interventions.
