    McLoughlin Klamath Planning Unit: final environmental statement

The acreage lies in two south-central Oregon Counties: Jackson (42%) and Klamath (58%), and within two Congressional Districts, the First and Fourth. The four major issues raised in this planning process are: (1) resolution of an allocation for potential winter sports development on Pelican Butte; (2) recognition of wildlife needs; (3) timber production and the effect other allocations would have on the quantity of timber to be produced from the Planning Unit; and (4) management of the Big Butte Springs Watershed, to insure continued production of high quality water for domestic use" P. iii [4].
