Nowadays, concrete slabs with plastic void formers is one of the more popular solutions in modern construction. The main purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the importance of the concrete slabs, their stiffness and deflection. The thesis paper has three main chapters: types of concrete slabs with plastic void formers and analysis of their use areas; analytical calculation methods of deflection application; and analysis of concrete slabs with finite element program. First chapter reviews type of slabs and their plastic void formers, main features of the slabs, their use areas and calculation methods. Calculations of the concrete slabs done based on previously reviewed analytical calculation methods taking into account uneven element stiffness are being introduced in the second chapter. Lastly, chapter three presents concrete slab with plastic void formers model made and analysed with finite element program. The paper consists of introduction, three main chapters with sections and subsections, summary and suggestions, list of literature used. Thesis paper has 90 pages, 103 illustrations, 6 tables and 35 bibliographical sources, and 3 appendixes.
