Management of the Merangin area (Geopark) has been carried out by the government with community involvement. Community involvement in management and development provides great benefits for the community and also creates sustainability in management. But the management carried out by the community is not yet professional for this reason it is necessary to increase the capacity of the community in the management of the tourist area so that the potential is optimal. Problem formulation 1) What is the Role of the Youth and Sports Tourism Office in the Management of the Earth Park (Geopark) in Merangin District. 2) What are the obstacles faced by the Youth and Sports Tourism Office in the Management of Earth Parks (Geopark) in Merangin District. 3) What are the efforts of the Youth and Sports Tourism Office in the Management of the Earth Park (Geopark) in Merangin District? Juridical Sociological Research Methods, data sources through primary and secondary data, were analyzed qualitatively with semi-structured interview techniques. The results of the study 1) The role of the Youth and Sports Tourism Office in the Management of the Earth Park (Geopark) in Merangin District, is to build facilities and infrastructure and to empower communities around the Earth Park (Geopark). 2) Constraints faced by the Youth and Sports Tourism Office in the Management of the Earth Park (Geopark) in Merangin Regency, facilities and infrastructure are still limited and the low sense of community ownership. 3) The efforts of the Youth and Sports Tourism Office in the Management of Earth Parks (Geopark) in Merangin Regency are to improve facilities and infrastructure and increase socialization with the community.Keywords : Role, Management, Area, Earth Park.
