MENGEMBANGKAN KREATIVITAS IBU-IBU PKK DALAM PENGELOLAAN BAHAN BEKAS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEREKONOMIAN DI DESA BAHUNG SIBATU-BATU
Bahung Sibatu-batu village, Sei Dadap District, is one of the sub-districts in Asahan Regency, North Sumatra. Many of the residents are tailors and there are some convection, which every time the tailor or convection produces a large amount of leftover cloth which we call patchwork (waste cloth). In Bahung Sibatu-batu Village, Sei Dadap District, Asahan Regency, there is a PKK organization, which functions as a facilitator, planner, implementer, and driver in each village. However, it was found that PKK women lacked skills in utilizing patchwork waste in the environment. So far, the patchwork waste has not been utilized optimally, they only use flannel as a hijab toy, which causes the results of patchwork crafts to not vary. This community service was carried out on May 27, 2022, which was attended by PKK organizations in Bahung Sibatu–batu Village, Sei Dadap District, Asahan Regency, with 25 participants held in the Hamlet VI hall of Bahung Sibatu–Batu Village. This activity begins with the delivery of material as well as providing motivation regarding awareness of the lack of management of used goods, especially patchwork, which if processed properly can become goods that have selling power. Judging from the enthusiasm of the PKK mothers, it can be seen that this activity helps them in finding ideas so that they can increase awareness of the good use of used goods and help them in increasing creativity in the management of used materials and is expected to increase the creativity of PKK women in Bahung Sibatu-batu village so that it can stimulate the community to become a more advanced and independent society.
