Bank Sampah Gobel Sebagai Alternatif Pengelolaan Sampah Berbasis Masyarakat Di Lingkungan Kelurahan Sukolilo Tuban
Changes in the community's paradigm regarding waste need to be carried out in a sustainable manner. Education of citizens' awareness and skills for waste management by applying the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle (3R) is important in solving waste problems through waste management from the source. A waste bank based on the participation of women is a social capital in community-based waste management. The waste bank which is integrated with the 3R principle is implemented in Sukolilo Village, Tuban District, Tuban Regency, East Java Province, Indonesia. Garbage bank activity is a concept of collecting Inorganic waste and it is sorted and has management like banking but what is saved is not money but waste. Community empowerment through outreach activities, education, training with emancipatory participation methods (interaction and communication), as well as dialogue with residents in the community. In addition, partnership support is needed by building networks and institutional cooperation mechanisms between waste bank managers and related stakeholders. The GOBEL Garbage Bank in Sukolilo Village has provided benefits to residents, especially direct benefits by reducing landfill waste in the community, making the environment cleaner and more beautiful, as well as residents' economic independence. In addition to the economic benefits, where from saving waste money can be obtained to help meet daily needs, the realization of environmental health, with community conditions that are cleaner, greener, more comfortable, and healthier. Integrated waste management can stimulate creativity and innovation from the community so as to improve the welfare of the Sukolilo village community.
