Penggunaan Metode Risk Based Inspection API 581 Tahun 2000 sebagai Dasar Analisis Risiko Tangki Penyimpanan Minyak Mentah dan Bahan Bakar
This research delves into the risk assessment of storage tanks within an oil and gas company operational since 2015. Being Aboveground Storage Tanks, they present significant hazards, including fire and explosions, jeopardizing the safety of operators and nearby communities. Such risks stem from both internal factors, like corrosion-induced physical damage and aging, and external factors such as human errors, natural calamities, or unexpected incidents. Utilizing the Risk Based Inspection (RBI) approach, based on API 580 and API 581 standards from 2000, the study aims to gauge the potential risk levels associated with tank failures. The research framework encompasses identifying damage mechanisms, assessing failure probabilities, understanding the consequences of potential failures, and determining risk levels and inspection schedules. The central aim of this investigation is to comprehend the underlying damage mechanisms, quantify associated risks, and formulate robust inspection strategies to preemptively address system failures. Consequently, the study strives to offer actionable preventive recommendations to safeguard the tanks' integrity and optimize their operational performance.
