The Arsenal Building, built in 1868-1871, & designed by local architect Andrew Jackson Warner, looking south from Washington Square Park. To the right are houses along South Street. later named St. Mary's Place. This was used as an arsenal until 1907 when it became the Convention Hall, then the Naval Academy in 1949, and then GeVa Theatre in 1985.
