VECTOR CONTROL STUDY AT UPTD SLAUGHTERHOUSE IN KENDARI CITY 2017
Background: Animal Slaughterhouse (RPH) is a building or building complex with special design and construction that meets certain technical and hygienic requirements and is used as slaughterhouses. Animal slaughterhouses require high hygiene and technical requirements to get a quality product. The condition of the unclean slaughterhouses will be a means of developing disease vectors. Objective: To analyze the vector controlling aspects of UPTD animal slaughter. Method: The research was conducted at UPTD of Kendari City Slaughtering in 2017. This research is a descriptive research by doing and installation of trap to see the existence of rat vector and fly UPTD of Kendari City Animal Cutting. The installation of a mouse trap is made at some point during the day, to ensure the existence of the vector. To measure the density of flies is done at some point diareal that has a high fly intensity. Results: Based on the survey results it can be seen that there are signs of mice such as traces, fresh dirt, liquids and trash, but the types of mice can not be identified because the traps are still negative. For the table table examination of fly density that respondents living in close residential distance (0 - ≤500 m) there is a high category density of 26 respondents from 29 respondents (65.90), while respondents living in distant housing distance (> 500 m - ≤1000 m) with a high fly density of 4 respondents from 15 respondents (34.10%). Conclusion: There is no aspect of vector control, because there are some signs of rat vector existence and high fly density around UPTD Animal Slaughter
