Abstrak: Garuda Express Delivery adalah sebuah jasa layanan pengiriman udara door to door service. Sejak awal berdirinya GED telah memiliki komitmen yang tinggi untuk memberikan standar layanan yang sesuai dengan standar internasional untuk sebuah perusahaan courier dan cargo. Namun, biaya pengiriman yang tidak stabil berakibat kekalahan dalam bersaing. Disamping itu Ketepatan pengiriman barang ke pelanggan juga sangat berpengaruh terhadap kualitas pelayanan. Untuk itu, diperlukan pemodelan yang tepat untuk masalah pengiriman barang pada GED yaitu dengan model transportasi dan teknik-teknik penyelesaian transportasi, sehingga biaya transportasi pengiriman barang dapat optimal. Metode pemecahan yang digunakan adalah metode barat laut, metode biaya terendah dan metode vogel, yang diterapkan ke dalam aplikasi POM-QM For Windows 5. Maka diperoleh hasil yaitu total biaya pengiriman barang ke beberapa kota tujuan yang optimal sebesar Rp.28.949.400,-. Since the beginning of the establishment GED have has a great commitment to give the real who in accordance with international standards for a company courier and cargo .But , cost of unstable led defeat in compete .Besides the accuracy of delivery goods to the customer also very influenced the quality of service .For that required modeling right to issue delivery of goods on GED namely by transportation model and techniques transportation resolution , so that the cost of the deliver transportation merchandise can be optimal .A method of problem solving that used is the northwest corner-method , least cost-method and vogel aproximal-method , applied to in application pom-qm for windows 5 .So the results that is the total cost of goods to some city destination optimal of Rp.28.949.400 , - Key Words: Delivery of goods, Pom-QM for Windows 5, Transportation model
