Sociokultūrinių ir meninių iniciatyvų ypatumai ir vaidmuo miesto regeneracijos procese: Vilniaus mikrorajonų atvejų analizė / ; THE ROLE OF SOCIO-CULTURAL AND ART INITIATIVES IN URBAN REGENERATION: THE CASE OF MASS HOUSING DISTRICTS OF VILNIUS.
It was decided to explore the role of socio-cultural and artistic initiatives in urban city regeneration process in this thesis. Mass housing residential districts of Soviet period often remain in the margins of the research field therefore it was important to analyse it in the context of the idea of Creative cities . Vilnius City Strategy analys suggests that at the strategic level, socio-cultural and artistic activities promotion and methods of their development are provided. But research of selected cases revealed slightly different view: fragile funding, cooperation, and community issues are actual in this context.
