Asfalto mišinių su perdirbtu plastiku tyrimas ir vertinimas ; Research and evaluation of asphalt mixtures with recycled plastic
In Lithuania, waste generated during the plastic recycling process and unused plastic are disposed in landfills or incinerated in municipal waste companies. However, this does not follow the principles of the Circular Economy, as this plastic can be used for structural road materials, such as modified asphalt mixtures or bituminous binders. This thesis analyzes the influence of recycled plastic and its waste on the physical, mechanical and operational properties of AC 16 PD asphalt concrete mixture. The tests were performed in a laboratory simulating transport loads and environmental conditions. Studies have shown that recycled plastic modified AC 16 PD asphalt concrete mixtures have better results in stiffness, cracking strength and resistance to plastic deformation than the reference AC 16 PD asphalt concrete mixture without plastic, except for water sensitivity and fatigue resistance. Based on the obtained research results, conclusions and suggestions for further research are presented. Thesis consists of: 71 pages of text without appendixes, 38 figures, 5 tables.
