Master’s thesis analyses sustainability of the housing market in the Baltic States. The first part provides theoretical overview of the real estate concept and characteristics, real estate market and features of housing segment, also in this part the concept of sustainability and main aspects and criteria of sustainable development are defined. In the second part the methodology to assess the sustainability of housing markets in the Baltic States is provided also an expert survey is conducted and the significance of the criteria determined using the analytical hierarchy process method. The main indicators of the housing markets in the Baltic countries are also analyzed and market sustainability indices were determined by the Simple Additive Weighting method SAW. Finally, recommendations are made aiming to improve the sustainability of housing markets. This work consists of an introduction, two main parts, conclusions and suggestions and bibliography. Work volume: 72 pages, 30 figures, 16 tables, 51 bibliography resources.
