Management of micro-grid with (SM) to decrease electricity bills by using (CAEST)

Therefore, the green energy sources (Photo Voltaic (PV), Wind Turbine (WT), Fuel Cell (FC) and rechargeable batteries) are used in the energy systems. But the renewable sources inherently to volatile and then produces a much power swing, thus the Energy Storage Technologies (EST) are very necessary to studying Storage Energy Systems (SESs) and save the power to use it in the good time. This paper proposed the Compression Air Energy Storage Technology (CAEST) used with small wind turbines to make it operate when there is a need to decrease the electricity bills, emissions, and energy-saving using Smart Meter (SM) control of the micro-grid. In this study, a micro-grid is designed and simulated with two case studies to supply three types of end-users (houses, heavy and light industries). The first case DiG without CAEST, and second case with CAEST without DiG. Finally, the results showed the effect of having a CAEST on reducing bills mainly for one end-user, as the electricity bill was reduced by about 23% because we add the scenario of case 2 to the one end user which first house in the system. © 2020 IEEE.
