Social awareness - What do people know about green energy and energy efficiency?
This paper reports the results of the questionnaire-based survey carried out on a selected groups of respondents in the Regions. The research was conducted in 4 Regions participating in the ENERGYREGION Project. Thus, the following regions were taken into consideration: Opavsko and the Moravian Karst (Czech Republic), Podravje Region (Slovenia), North Hessen (Germany) and the Lower Silesia Region (Poland). The aim of the study was to identify the energy needs for different groups of end-consumers. End-consumers were divided into individual, budget and industrial. In particular research focused on the various energy end-consumers’ energy needs and expectations, relationships between these groups and the energy producers/suppliers, actions necessary to be taken for more efficient use of energy carriers and services as well as renewable energy sources. Research was a qualitative approach to assess the energy consciousness, problems in energy use, security of supply, relationship between producers/suppliers and end-consumers (for various forms of energy products and services). The questionnaire contains data on the energy needs of end-consumers and seven sections with questions about different problems of energy use. ; ENERGYREGION - 2007-2013 Central Europe Programme co-financed by the ERDF
