The main objective of the thesis of master degree is to analyse and systematize the activities of development cycles of the construction project, the processes of information exchange applied in the BIM practice of foreign countries and to propose a theoretical model / plan of an implementation of the construction project in accordance with the principles of BIM technology and coordinated with the regulatory framework of the construction sector of Lithuania. The work consists of three main parts. The first part reviews the methodologies used in the world practice of BIM, their composition and basic principles. The second part presents a systematic analysis of the legal base of the construction sector of the Republic of Lithuania, considering the life cycle of the construction project. The third part presents the development plan of the construction project applied to the construction sector of Lithuania according to the methodological requirements of BIM.
