The purpose of this study to determine support and resistance implementationRokan Hulu Government policy on waste management after the establishment of UU No. 18Tahun 2008 on Waste. This study uses research deskriftip, which describes the waste managementpolicy in Rokan Hulu. Sources informants in this study is the executive, the legislature and thepublic. Data analysis in this research is a qualitative descriptive way to explain the answers to theproblems found in the field, as well as by comparing the theoretical concepts associated with thestudy and use quantitative approach using data tabulation. The results showed Rokan HuluGovernment policy on waste management after the establishment of UU 18 Tahun 2008 is yet tobe optimal, since only collect, transfer, and dispose of without a process in Tempat PembuanganAkhir (TPA). The attitude of stakeholders about the significance of waste management is regulatedby a separate area not yet fully support, particularly from the legislative budget constraints assessthe various regions.
