PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN SERABUT (FIBER) KELAPA SAWIT TERHADAP POROSITAS BETON
Abstract— Porosity can be defined as the empty space between the material (volume of free space occupied by the fluid) to the total volume of concrete. Concrete is one of the materials that is often used in building structures which has several advantages and is easy to use and work on, easy to shape according to needs, the maintenance process is also easy to do, economical in its manufacture because it uses local materials that are easily obtained. Structurally, concrete has considerable strength in resisting compressive forces. Concrete with a mixture of fibers is concrete that is mixed with palm fiber fiber material, but it can also be added in the form of natural fibers and synthetic fibers that can be used to improve the quality of the concrete. The addition of palm fiber fibers in the concrete mixture can make a positive contribution to the utilization of palm oil fiber waste. This research was carried out using an experimental method by making a concrete test sample in the form of a cube with a size of 50x50x50mm then the porosity test was carried out. The effect of adding palm fiber to the concrete mixture on the porosity of the concrete based on regression analysis resulted in a minimum concrete porosity value (P) of 21.02761%.
