In un periodo in cui la stagione visionaria delle grandi utopie urbane appare irrimediabilmente perduta, sepolta tra le rovine delle sue stesse illusioni, una mostra come struggling cities sembra risvegliare un interesse, forse mai del tutto sopito, verso i temi della grande scala urbana e, attraverso un percorso inatteso e dai caratteri volutamente permeabili ci induce a riflettere sul destino della pianificazione urbana (e umana) e sulle implicazioni che derivano dallapossibilità di prefigurare un futuro al di là da venire. ; In a time when the season of the great visionary urban utopias appears irretrievably lost, buried in the ruins of its own illusions, an exhibition like Struggling Cities seems to awaken an interest, perhaps never completely soothed, towards the issues of the large-scale urban design and, through an unexpected and deliberately permeable character, leads us to reflect upon the fate of urban (and human) planning and the implications that derive from the opportunity to prefigure a future yet to come
