The Minimum Cell: criteria for minimum housing studies
The paper tries to define the necessary criteria to correctly analyze dwelling buildings with a social or subsidized background conceived during the XX century. The defined criteria simultaneously allows the choice of the Housing Models, but also the definition of an ‘Analysis Sheet’ intended to give the necessary information about the Case-Studies’ spatial distribution, areas, image and the author’s intentions according to his current work and the Architectural Movement in which he operates. The dweller is understood as an entity who as changed its aspirations and needs over time, thus becoming urgent the development of new housing proposals which allows the proper performance of the house’s contemporary activities. The obtained result throughout the Case-Studies analysis allows the determination of the validity or obsolescence of its formal, spacial and distributional contents during the specified period, in order to establish the basis of the design of new housing proposals which meet the needs on the common dweller.
